What makes up the figure
The cost usually falls into three parts: the ritual service itself, transport, and whatever the family chooses to add. The basic funeral package is 850 GEL, and that is a clear starting point rather than a headline figure. A full package is quoted individually, because it depends on how many people attend and what the family wants — putting a single number on it in advance would not be honest.
Transport is a separate line and easy to work out ahead of time: from 150 GEL within the city, and from 2.5 GEL per kilometre elsewhere in the country. The class of hearse is also a choice — a Mercedes-Benz from 150 GEL, or the Maybach at 1500 GEL. Cremation is handled separately, by arrangement. Before you confirm anything, we go through the total with you.
